1. Scope and Data Controller

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed through the PrimoroseHood website, mobile application, account services, Bible and devotional content, Prayer Journal, prayer features, community features, Membership and subscription services, challenges, referrals, promotions, customer support, surveys, and other Services.

2. Nature of the Services

PrimoroseHood provides Christian faith-based and personal-development tools, including Bible content, devotional materials, prayer features, journaling, challenges, community interactions, educational content, and personalized experiences.

The Services are not medical devices, clinical services, emergency services, therapy services, or substitutes for professional medical, mental-health, pastoral, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

Information concerning emotions, relationships, anxiety, stress, identity, personal development, prayer, or other wellness-related topics is provided for informational, devotional, and personal-reflection purposes.

3. Information We Collect

We do not collect every category of information from every user. The information we collect depends on your account, device, location, settings, permissions, purchases, Membership status, and the features you choose to use.

Account and contact information: name; email address; authentication information; country or region; language preferences; profile photograph; age or date-of-birth information where required; communication preferences; account identifiers; and other information you voluntarily provide.

Subscription and payment information: subscription status, plan, purchase date, renewal date, cancellation status, transaction identifiers, promotional pricing, refund information, payment status, and purchase history. Payment card information is generally processed directly by Apple, Google, or another authorized payment provider rather than stored directly by PrimoroseHood.

Prayer, faith, and journal information: prayers, prayer requests, journal entries, personal reflections, devotional activity, Scripture interactions, prayer routines, reminders, notes, search terms, voice recordings, audio metadata, transcripts, summaries, themes, tags, labels, AI-generated reflections, and other content you voluntarily provide. Some of this may reveal religious or philosophical beliefs, emotional circumstances, relationships, or health-related information. We treat such information with heightened care.

Community and social information: profile information, posts, comments, prayer requests, testimonies, reactions, group memberships, messages, connection information, invitation links, shared content, visibility preferences, and reports or moderation information.

Usage and app information: app screens viewed, features used, content accessed, challenges completed, interactions with buttons or links, session and crash information, device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, device identifiers where permitted, IP address, and approximate location.

Device permissions: microphone, notifications, camera, photos or media, storage, location, or other device functionality. You can generally control these through your device settings; certain features may not function without them.

Support and security information: emails, support messages, account information, troubleshooting information, screenshots or attachments you voluntarily provide, device information, transaction information, security information, abuse reports, and fraud-prevention signals.

Marketing and analytics information: cookies, pixels, advertising identifiers where permitted, analytics identifiers, campaign information, website and app interactions, approximate location, hashed contact information, referral information, and marketing preferences.

4. Sources of Information

Directly from you: for example, when you create an account, complete your profile, use the Prayer Journal, record a prayer, write a journal entry, use Bible or devotional features, participate in challenges, post in the community, subscribe to a Membership, contact support, or complete a survey.

Automatically: we may collect information automatically from your device, application, browser, cookies, SDKs, and service logs when you use the Services.

From third parties: Apple App Store, Google Play, payment providers, subscription-management providers, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, customer-support platforms, email providers, fraud-prevention providers, AI and transcription providers, content-moderation providers, and other service providers that help us operate the Services.

5. How We Use Personal Information

Provide and operate the Services: creating and managing accounts, authenticating users, providing Bible and devotional content, operating prayer features, providing the Prayer Journal, providing community features, delivering challenges, personalizing experiences, synchronizing account information, remembering preferences, and providing customer support.

Provide Prayer Journal and AI features: where you choose to use these, we may record and process audio, transcribe recordings, summarize journal entries, organize journal content, generate prompts and reflections, identify themes, provide Scripture-related suggestions, and personalize devotional experiences.

Process subscriptions and payments: process Memberships, verify subscription status, manage renewals, administer promotional pricing, process refunds, prevent payment fraud, resolve payment disputes, and maintain financial records.

Maintain safety and security: detect fraud, prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, protect accounts, enforce our Terms, moderate community activity, detect unauthorized access, investigate suspicious activity, and protect users and PrimoroseHood.

Analyze and improve the Services: understand how users interact with the Services, diagnose errors, improve performance, conduct analytics, test features, develop new functionality, and improve recommendations and user experience.

Communicate with you: account communications, security alerts, subscription notifications, transaction information, customer-support responses, service announcements, policy updates, and marketing communications where permitted by law.

Comply with law: comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, protect legal rights, resolve disputes, satisfy tax and accounting requirements, and cooperate with regulators or competent authorities.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, we may rely on one or more applicable legal bases, depending on the circumstances: your consent; performance of a contract; compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation; exercise of rights in legal proceedings; protection of life or physical safety where applicable; legitimate interests where legally available; fraud prevention and security; protection of credit where legally permitted; and other legal bases permitted by applicable law.

Where processing requires consent, we will request consent through an appropriate mechanism. The applicable legal basis may vary depending on the purpose and the country or region in which you use the Services.

7. Sensitive Personal Information

Certain information processed through the Services may qualify as sensitive personal information under applicable law, including religious or philosophical beliefs, prayer activity, spiritual practices, emotional circumstances, health or wellness-related information, voice recordings, journal content, and sensitive information voluntarily included in User Content.

We do not require you to provide sensitive personal information merely to browse or use basic portions of the Services unless that information is necessary for a particular feature.

Where applicable law requires specific consent or another heightened legal basis for processing sensitive information, we will apply the appropriate legal basis or obtain the required consent. Acceptance of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy does not automatically constitute consent to every type of sensitive-data processing.

8. Prayer Journal, Recordings, and AI Processing

The Prayer Journal may allow you to record spoken prayers, write journal entries, or otherwise provide personal reflections. Depending on the feature you use, your content may be recorded, uploaded, stored, transcribed, summarized, categorized, searched, analyzed, processed using AI technologies, or used to provide personalized features.

Some of these functions may require cloud processing. Where applicable, the app will provide appropriate notices and controls before recording, transcription, or other processing begins.

When recording is active, the Services may provide an in-product recording indicator and a mechanism to stop recording.

Where available, you may delete recordings, transcripts, summaries, or journal entries through the relevant feature. Deletion may not immediately remove information from backup systems or information that we are legally required or permitted to retain.

9. AI and Automated Processing

PrimoroseHood may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automated technologies to provide certain features, including transcribing recordings, summarizing journal content, generating reflections and prompts, suggesting Scripture, identifying themes, personalizing content, improving recommendations, and detecting abuse or security threats.

AI-generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or misleading. You should not assume that an AI-generated result has been reviewed by a human.

AI-generated content is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, emergency, or professional pastoral advice. PrimoroseHood does not guarantee that automated systems will correctly understand your circumstances or detect situations involving self-harm, abuse, mental-health crises, or other emergencies.

10. Use of Sensitive Content for AI Training

PrimoroseHood does not use private Prayer Journal recordings, private journal entries, private prayers, private transcripts, or sensitive personal information to train third-party foundation AI models unless you have clearly agreed through a separate consent or opt-in mechanism, or such processing is otherwise permitted by applicable law and appropriately disclosed.

We may use aggregated, anonymized, or appropriately de-identified information to understand performance, improve safety, conduct analytics, and improve the Services where permitted by applicable law.

11. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

Service providers and processors: we may share information with companies that help us operate the Services, including providers of cloud hosting, databases, content delivery, authentication, subscription management, payment processing, analytics, crash reporting, AI, transcription, speech-to-text, content moderation, customer support, email, security, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal services. These providers are subject to contractual or other appropriate obligations where required by law.

User-directed sharing: we may share information when you intentionally choose to make it available to others — for example, publishing a prayer request, sharing a testimony, posting in the community, joining a group, or using a sharing feature. Private journal entries and private Prayer Journal content are not intentionally made visible to other users unless you choose to share them.

Legal and safety purposes: we may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful government requests or court orders, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, address security incidents, protect users, protect PrimoroseHood's rights, or enforce our Terms.

Corporate transactions: we may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

12. Advertising and Targeted Advertising

PrimoroseHood does not sell private Prayer Journal content, private journal entries, private prayers, or sensitive faith-related activity to advertising platforms, and does not use this information for third-party behavioral advertising.

Where permitted by law, we may use limited information such as cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, website or app activity, campaign information, or hashed contact information to measure advertising performance, understand campaigns, or promote PrimoroseHood Services.

Where required by law, we will request appropriate consent or provide applicable opt-out controls.

13. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and Services may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, analytics technologies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the website, maintain sessions, remember preferences, improve security, analyze usage, measure performance, and understand marketing campaigns.

You may control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, our cookie-management tools. Certain cookies may be necessary for the Services to function and cannot be disabled without affecting functionality.

14. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Retention periods may depend on the nature of the information, the purpose for which it was collected, whether you maintain an account or active Membership, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and security requirements.

You may delete certain journal entries, prayers, recordings, transcripts, and other content through available app functionality. When you delete content, we take reasonable steps to remove it from active systems, subject to legal retention requirements, security requirements, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, and accounting requirements.

Backup systems may retain information for a limited period before it is overwritten or deleted. Aggregated, anonymized, or appropriately de-identified information that no longer identifies you may be retained where permitted by law.

15. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account through the available account controls or by contacting PrimoroseHood. Account deletion may result in the loss of access to your profile, saved content, journal entries, community activity, preferences, and other account-related information.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Membership or subscription purchased through Apple, Google, or another third-party billing platform. Certain information may remain available for a limited period or be retained where required or permitted by law.

16. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction — including encryption in transit, authentication controls, access restrictions, logging, monitoring, security reviews, vendor controls, incident-response procedures, and restrictions on access to sensitive information.

Access to sensitive information is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who have a legitimate reason to access it, such as providing support you request, troubleshooting, maintaining security, responding to legal requirements, or investigating abuse.

No website, application, database, cloud service, device, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, device, email account, and authentication credentials. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, please contact us promptly.

17. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including: confirmation of whether we process your information; access to it; correction of inaccurate information; deletion; portability; information about how your information is processed and shared; withdrawal of consent; objection to certain processing; restriction of certain processing; review of automated decisions where applicable; and other rights provided by applicable law.To exercise these rights, contact primorosehood@gmail.com.

18. International Data Transfers

PrimoroseHood may use service providers, infrastructure, affiliates, or partners located in Brazil and other countries. As a result, personal information may be transferred to or processed in countries outside your country of residence, which may have privacy laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, PrimoroseHood will use appropriate mechanisms, which may include contractual safeguards, data-processing agreements, standard contractual clauses where applicable, adequacy mechanisms, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

19. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including Apple App Store, Google Play, payment providers, subscription-management providers, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics services, AI services, transcription services, authentication providers, and social or community services.

Third-party services operate according to their own privacy policies and terms. PrimoroseHood is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties that operate independently from PrimoroseHood. Before connecting a third-party service, you should review that provider's privacy policy.

20. Community Privacy

Community features may allow you to choose whether certain information is private, visible to selected users, visible to a group, or publicly available within the Services. You are responsible for reviewing your privacy and visibility settings before sharing content.

Even where PrimoroseHood provides privacy controls, no online service can guarantee that another user will not copy, photograph, record, or otherwise reproduce information that you choose to share. Do not share passwords, financial information, precise location information, private medical information, or other sensitive information with other users unless you are comfortable doing so.

21. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required parental or guardian consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without the required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete or restrict that information.

Some countries and regions establish higher ages or additional requirements for processing children's personal information; where applicable law imposes a higher age threshold or parental-consent requirement, those requirements will apply.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to PrimoroseHood in violation of applicable requirements, please contact us.

22. Data Protection Officer / Privacy Contact

Where required by applicable law, PrimoroseHood will appoint or designate an appropriate privacy contact or Data Protection Officer (“DPO”).

For privacy-related questions, requests, complaints, or concerns, contact: primorosehood@gmail.com

23. Complaints and Regulatory Authorities

If you have concerns about how PrimoroseHood handles your personal information, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter.

You may also have the right to submit a complaint to the data-protection authority or other regulator responsible for privacy matters in your jurisdiction.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits your right to contact a competent regulatory authority.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, new features, changes in technology or our data practices, legal or regulatory developments, security requirements, or other operational changes.

If we make material changes that affect your rights or materially change how we process sensitive personal information, we will provide appropriate notice through the app, website, email, account notification, or another legally appropriate method. Where applicable law requires consent to a material change, we will obtain the required consent.

The updated Privacy Policy will identify its effective date.
